"Blonde Revolution" and spring trends

As the days get longer, brighter, and semi-warmer, the crave for summer is getting bigger. The winter's in NEPA are long, frigid, and feel like never ending. With some decently warm, high 40 degree days, many are starting to bring out brighter colors. But not only is clothing changing, but hair color. With still grey and cold NEPA, many are turning to dying their hair instead. Recently, a bunch of my fellow classmates dyed their hair blonde, so I decided to try something new and just do it. This is the "Blonde Revolution."

Not only is blonde hair a major trend for this spring but also pastels. While working at American Eagle, I notice lilac, bright blues, and subtle yellows all around. The light and easy colors are a great way to start off the spring!

Checker print or as some stores would call "Gingham" print is

a major fashion trend for this spring/summer as well as was a trend last season. The print comes in not only the traditional black and white but brighter colors like red, blue, and even yellow. This print is totally feminine and could be dressed up or down. This trend seems to be going nowhere, it's not only popular in the warm months but in the colder weather as well. It's a great pattern to wear any time of the day, in any kind of weather.

Sheer! Although sheer has been around for decades, it's

making it's rounds yet again in our stores and closets. Sheer is great for those hot summer nights out with your friends and a sheer top can obviously be dressed down with some joggers and sneakers. Sheer is the greatest way to stay cool in the sun and still look fashionable.

And last but not least; BOLD COLORS!!! I love experimenting

with new colors and making statements. Nobody can go

wrong with a bit of bright yellow or blue in any outfit. Bright color screams spring and summer, while the weather is getting warmer don't be afraid to wear something that makes an eye-catching statement. Bright and vivid colors give off positive, happy vibes. Don't worry, warm weather will

be coming soon! But while we're waiting, add some of those fun colors and sheer looks to any outfit!
