A letter I wish someone wrote to me.

Dear sad Marren,
Wake up and welcome to a new, beautiful beginning. I love you. Promise me you’ll never leave, pinky promise. The world needs you. And I promise Marren, that there are things worth living for. Like ice cream, why would you ever want to give that up before you have to? Or the feeling you get when you stand on top of a mountain and stare at the big, wide world beneath you? Don’t forget its beauty and never forget yours. I know there seems to be more dark than light, but there is light. The light is right at the end of the tunnel, you’re so close! You will get better, sometimes the healing is worse than the aching. You’re you, no one is like you and that’s your power. Your story is unfinished and your journey is just beginning. Please don’t write the ending now. In two years you are going to be graduating and I promise I will get you to walk across that stage, even though it may feel like you won’t get there alive. Don’t leave so soon. You’re going to be 16 in a few months, why would you want to miss that? Remember, some of the best books have torn pages and scratched covers. And no one likes a movie where everything goes right. Your story is beautiful. You carry the world on your shoulders like a pair of wings! You are my inspiration; my motivation to keep going everyday. I love you to the moon and back.
Love,
Happy Marren.
